I live in the Similkameen Valley, just outside Keremeos, BC with my crew - my partner, our kids, and my parents. We’re perched on the side of a mountain, sagebrush at our feet and the clouds not so far above our heads.

I make drawings on paper and my Ipad and turn them into colourful patterns, portraits, stationery and scenes. My goal is create work that brings joy; that echoes memories of secret treasure hunts and running pell-mell across sand or through field and forest. Glimpses of worlds you found in stories or the magic you discovered on a slow walk in your own neighbourhood.

Children’s book illustration and the natural world are two of my biggest wells of inspiration. Having children, and thus, the opportunity to be around a lot more of them has also brought so much magic to my life - even if I’m a lot more tired than I used to be. : )

For the first time in my life I can now profess a profound appreciation for the colour pink. I’m currently going through a bit of a pretzel phase, and I am extremely, extremely good at getting every last bit of toothpaste out of the tube.

Warmly,
Beth (she/her)
